A few weeks ago my sister invited me to go for a day trip over to the Lake District, more specifically the Pooley Bridge village next to Ullswater. It turned out we picked the perfect day as it ended up being so sunny and hot (which meant I did get burnt oops!).
The village is so cute and quaint, with a few tourist shops and several pubs, some of which look out onto the river. As it was half term there were lots of families and kids playing in the river in the sun, making it feel like we were on holiday somewhere. After looking around the village we went for a walk through the woods and up the hills near some farms. It was quite the trek however the views of the lake were so beautiful. As we didn’t know what the weather would be like I played it safe wearing my black H&M jeans, this grey crop top is also from H&M and is so simple to wear and great for sunny weather. I wore my docs so my feet would be comfortable when walking around. My jumper is also from H&M (a few years ago) and was nice for when it was bit chilly. (I swear most of my wardrobe is H&M oops).
After a long walk and relaxing down by the lake in the sun we definitely built up an appetite so went back into the village to have tea in one of the pubs. All the pubs had traditional British pub food and big gardens to sit in the sun whilst eating. I went for scampi and chips and it definitely hit the spot.
