For things first I want to apologise for not posting things for a while, I’ve a lot of things to deal with and wanted to relax at home for Christmas so I took a little break from blogging. So I thought for my first post of 2016 (happy new year!) and first post after a break I’d talk about some of my new in beauty products.
I got this palette for Christmas and it’s so gorgeous, you can never have too many matte eye shadow shades in my eyes (ha ha), and it’s perfect for creating simple every day looks, or building up for bolder make up looks. At such an affordable price its a must have for your make up collection.
Mac Lipstick in Stone – £15.50
Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ – £17
I’m always on the hunt for brown/nude shades and of course mac have a lot to offer, these shades have been on my list for a while so I snapped them up after pay day. Oak is a gorgeous brown shade that looks gorgeous alone or I like to wear Velvet Teddy over the top. Stripdown is a similar shade but with a slightly more pink tone. Stone is a much darker shade perfect for a bolder look. I am yet to try the Fix+ so there’s not much I can say however I will be sure to mention is at a later date!
I’ve used the original Primer Potion for a while however I thought I’d get a new one in and try a different shade and boy am I happy I did. This one is so perfect at completely covering and creating a nude plain base for eye shadows, as well as being amazing at keeping eye shadows in place and on all day. I can’t praise this product enough and especially this shade which is a necessity if you have quite visible veins on your eyelids like I do. It is currently on sale for £14.40 on Feel Unique.
Now I wont lie this was a total impulse purchase when out shopping but this palette just screamed my name, I love shimmer shades especially gold and bronze as they compliment blue eyes wonderfully. This palette works for day time or for night and paired with the primer potion is just gorgeous!
I got this foundation about a month ago and as lovely as it is I probably won’t repurchase. The finish is gorgeous and dewy, however I need a higher coverage and this just doesn’t give that. However, if you have better skin than mine (which isn’t hard haha) and are after a dewy foundation do give this one a try! I use shade NC15.
One of my major skin problem is uneven tone, I suffer with red patches and spots. Therefore, I’m on the look for a green corrector to cover red to create an even base before foundation. This palette is a good place to start as it really works. I also use the yellow to highlight mixed with my usual concealer. I haven’t used the other shades yet but I will have an experiment! Definitely good for the price and a good way to experiment with concealing and correcting uneven skin tones.
Thank you for reading, again sorry for the break and I hope 2016 is treating you well so far! Let me know what beauty products you’ve been loving!
